Big night in!

Last night li'l miss Evelyn had quite the playdate....with 12 of her new friends! We had 12 babies (along with all of their moms and two dads) under 6 months of age over to our house for dinner. It was chaos, but very fun. There were babes on laps, sometimes two to a lap, playing on blankets on the floor, sleeping in car seats, and hangin out all over the house in their mom's or dad's arms. Evie really seems to enjoy social activities, and appears to "take it all in" whenever there are lots of other people around. We're hoping that by taking her lots of different places and encouraging her to interact and play with other kids from a very young age she will grow into a friendly and outgoing little girl. I have always been shy and somewhat introverted, and am working on that as a mom because I don't want Evie to be affected negatively by those traits. So, we go to parent-baby groups twice a week and joined this impromptu "dinner club." Thus far, the experiences we've had have benefited all of us - we all get to make new friends and get out of the house in the cold winter weather:)
