Playroom

We're finally nearly finished with our basement remodel. We thought we were finished a year ago, but then had troubles with water (that the people we bought the house from insisted insisted never seeped in) damaging our brand new carpeting. It was gross, and short of digging out around the foundation, we weren't sure of a good solution. Thank you Platon!! If you have only a little water seeping up into an otherwise dry basement, this stuff is a miracle! It's a water proof barrier that allows the floor to breathe and any water to soak back down without ever reaching your flooring. It's fantastic - 3 weeks of downpours and not a drop of water above the Platon, so in went the new laminate flooring. Yay! Up until recently, our living room has been overrun with toys. As you can see, the li'l miss now has her very own playroom in the cozy basement family room. We're so glad to finally have this space...and Evie's daddy is thrilled to go look for his big new TV to go over the fireplace. He's been wanting to put one up above the living room fireplace since we moved in, but it just doesn't go with my design aesthetic. For the family room, though, even I'm on board. Sorry, fireplace...you're about to be overshadowed!!
