Still sick...

Despite all our efforts and Evie's apparent toughness, she's still sick. What started out looking like a little head cold has moved into her chest and may be RSV. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a respiratory virus that manifests itself as a normal cold in adults, but can seriously affect an infant's ability to breathe....so much so that it can require hospitalization. Luckily, Evie is a fighter and is doing well. She's clearly working harder to breathe, and is breathing faster than normal, but the pediatrician assured us that she's still moving air well and her oxygenation level is perfect. So, we're just watching her at home for now and hoping she'll turn the corner by Monday. If not, it's back to the pediatrician's office we go.

On a positive note, the li'l miss has remained in a good mood despite being sick, has gained a few more pounds to put her at 13 lbs 12 oz, and she amazed the pediatrician today by doing the army crawl across the exam table. We knew Evie was a strong little girl, one who continuously awes us with her motor skill development, but I have to admit that were surprised when the pediatrician said she's never seen a 3-month old crawl like that. Apparently, that's something babies usually aren't able to coordinate until about 8 months. GO EVIE GO!!!! :) We're so proud...can you tell??
