We had a great 4th of July weekend. After a few rough days, Evie turned the corner friday night and was finally able to keep food down. It appears she had a 24-hour stomach bug, but since Friday night, she's progressively gotten better...to the point that you wouldn't even know how sick she was just a few days ago. I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll say it again....she's such a li'l trooper!! Anyway, to celebrate our country's independence, we had fun at our neighborhood's annual party yesterday, which is held at the park down the street. There were lots of games for the kids, a parade (that we missed due to nap time) and classic grillin' food. All in all, a very good time. To keep the fun going, we decided to have a picnic at the zoo this afternoon. Evie was mesmerized by the black bear, but wasn't quite sure what to think of the goats. They were a bit too pushy for her liking, I think!!
