We had Evelyn's 2-week check-up yesterday and are happy to report that she's doing great. She's now up to 8 lbs 1 oz and is 20.75 inches long, which puts her in the 60th percentile for height and 50th percentile for weight. Average may not always be desirable, but it certainly puts a smile on our faces in this case! We won't have to visit the pediatrician again until her 2-month check. Woohoo!

All else is well in the Schulz household. Luke is back at work and Evie and I are snuggling up in front of the fireplace watching the snow outside. Having my life now revolve around Evie's still unpredictable eating/sleeping schedule has been quite the adjustment...and it's amazing how fast I can now do things that are unrelated to her care. Showers = 5 minutes or less....eating is more like "shovel and swallow"....:) It's wonderful being a mom, but I totally underestimated how much work it truly is just to keep a newborn fed, well-slept and cleanly diapered!!!
